I'm finally cutting myself free of Virgin Media and switching to plusnet, which will save me about £20 a month.

There's not enough 3g signal here to use my HTC as a wifi hub thing, which is doubly annoying because Steam refuses to start in offline mode until it's been allowed to update. So no internets and no games, what's left?
Why, I have been learning Ancient Greek. Obviously. It's satisfyingly easy to get to grips with once I realise that no-one cares if I pronounce things wrong. Like modern greek, there's only really 2 verb forms, the endings change (conjugate?) in a similar way, and I get all excited when a word is the same in ancient as modern.

The scary thing is thinking about what I could achieve if I didn't have the Internet, ever..

I'm intrigued to know what I'd be like in a world without the internet (and what I'd be doing in a world without computers).
