Staggering. Unlike recent liberation in Greece, these mink will survive in Ireland to decimate the local wildlife population.

Current network of protection not working, requires much bigger and stronger protection, which is wholly unlikely given current economic crisis and lack of instant and obvious financial gain from preventing extinctions. Bah.

I would like to point out that the only time a pub I worked in got done over, barstaff used glasses in self defence. Also this will stop the ancient traditional sport of my native homeland whereby you have to catch a pint glass on your face.

Not just Great Bustards - I didn't realise there was also a Great Crane reintroduction program in the UK. The captive rearing of wild Great Cranes for release is a story of incredible dedication and hard work. Humans in crane suits have to teach the chicks absolutely everything, from foraging to predator avoidance and flight. Top marks to WWT and their dedicated team..

Insane. More expensive than treating the disease in cattle, it doesn't work and there's no evidence for it, unless you count farming myths and rural gossip above proven scientific study. Which this government does.
