  I played this on the Commodore VIC-20 when I was very young. A friend showed me a version of this on his iPhone last year, the first time I'd seen the game in over 20 years, and I sang along with it. Brilliant.

bleh, mediocre. Cornell's vocals always sound a bit.. muffled and constrained, somehow. nasal. Soundgarden were ok, audioslave were like Rage ATM with all the emotion flattened out of them. I liked Audioslave, mind, but bond themes should send shivers up your spine. Plus, I don't think the outright rock vibe works; there needs to be a touch of class to a good bond theme.

He sings in an odd way, it sounds to me like he's not really singing from his diaphragm much at all. So, yeah a /bit/ "nasal", as in overly using his nasal cavities rather than his chest and throat; not as in frank sidebottom.

There's a lot of vibrato upper range stuff going on with him generally and not very much deep big air movements in his voice. It's a very odd vocal style. He really pulls it of well and he's almost unique in doing so, but what I want from a bond theme is a voice that will fill a stadium without a microphone in front of it, Shirley Bassey being the classic example.

didn't u2 already do a bond theme? iirc garbage did one. Can't remember the song much though, other than being annoyed by it's utter mediocrity.

Garbage have but not U2, unless I'm completely blanking it this morning. Garbage's was The World is Not Enough, which was kinda bla.. like the movie tbh.
