A Scottish actress. She's not very well known, but I have adored her since I saw her in Neverwhere (a BBC mid-nineties fantasy set in London Below written by Neil Gaiman). She was also Henriette in the Beeb's Casanova (David Tennant! Laura Fraser! JOY!).

while I'm just assuming it's going to be dreadful and unrealistic. Starting to look forward to it now. Let's see:

* Coming out as a major story line
* Straight male as main character, fancies one of the lesbos, tries to turn her
* "comedy" incident with Transperson
* Queer As Folk-style main character fancies her best friend, who is butch and sleeps around with everyone except her

Hehe. I was more expecting it'd just recycle the L Word thing - lesbians who are otherwise entirely unrelatable due to being not really ordinary people at all and consequently of limited interest. Might have less sex though which would be a plus.

Expecting plenty of "look what the Cat dragged in" 'jokes'.

Apparently they were filming this by Jim's shop in the city and pissed off all the retailers by blocking off the street whenever they liked and stopping deliveries. Boo!
