I don't know about the list being shit 'cos I've only seen one film on it, but his logic is definitely flawed. Still might be worth seeing some of those films, though i suspect in the case of stepford wives and handmaids tale reading the book would be a more rewarding experience.

I have an incredibly good R1 version of The Fly on dvd with silly amounts of extras and worthwhile discussion. Lots of Jeff Goldblums dialogue was ad-libbed, and in one particular instance (when he's ranting about the experience of teleportation) it's incredible to watch. One of the extras has the script on one side of the screen with the film on the other and you can see when the script actually ends and he just goes off on his own and Cronenberg just kept filming! Also good to see Jeff and his then girlfriend Geena together.

The film of The Handmaids Tale is nowhere near as good as the book, which I'm sure I have somewhere if you'd like to borrow that too.

(Also have you not seen The Stepford Wives??? :o )
