Arrgh. I have a line chart where the Y-axis has minimum value -0.2, maximum 10.0, major unit 2.0 a nd minor unit automatically 0.4. The bastard thing is showing a major gridline at 9.8, and although there is a gridline at 0 there is no number "0" there, so it's not clear where zero is to the thickos at [government agency] who have to read my report. I'd quite like the maximum to be TEN, or/and, at the very least, to have the number "0" NEXT TO THE ZERO GRIDLINE. I didn't mean for that last bit to be in caps locks, but actuall it expresses today's Excel Rage nicely. Anyone?

Does the minimum have to be -0.2? The problem is the units start from the minimum value, so the major unit will go up in 2s from -0.2. If you change the minimum to -2 you get the maximum at 10 and the 0 next to the 0 line. You can also change it so the x-axis crosses at -2 also, so it looks a bit nicer.

Yep - that was the problem; I've gotten round it now by using lots of multiples of 5 :)
