It peed me off a bit, because surely the dalai lama wouldn't accredit concepts of good and evil to birds? Only "nice" birds are allowed to be fed. The hawk is "nasty"

Anyway, in my experience air rifles don't bother birds of prey..

I think it's more of a case of differentiating between violent and non-violent. The Hawks are violent, so he doesn't like them. Not very ecologically sound, of course, but never mind.

God, has the man ever seen nature? Every single piece of nature is vicious, single-minded and very, very violent, even if it's on a smaller scale.
