Over 5,000 eggs seized in a raid in Bathgate. Although only a few die-hard egg collectors remain, they still have the capacity to damage the breeding success of many species. I was on Skokholm Bird Observatory in 2007 when the death of a certain infamous egg collector was announced - he fell out of a tree!

I never did bookmark this because it is etched in my brain, but if you or someone you know wants to get, or is thinking about getting, a job in the "outdoors" you *must* subscribe to the CJS, or at least glance at their free daily ads. Most charities now will now only advertise on their own websites and in the CJS, and it incredibly value-for-money, with voluntary and training as well as paid jobs advertised.
