Weirdly, the reason I had lego was because a child psychologist told my parents that a constructive toy (like lego or meccano) would help my brother's behavioural issues. My brother wasn't interested in lego or meccano in the slightest, but I thought they were both fucking awesome and got all the stuff they'd bought for him.
