An earthen dam holding 5.4 million cubic yards of highly toxic coal ash broke on Monday, near the Tennessee river. That's enough to cover an area of 3,000 acres one foot deep.

Just about everything in the UK is struggling to cope with the ridiulous weather. (the BTO reports about 6 swallows in South Wales who haven't even bothered to migrate, and I saw a load of midges when I was hikiing in the snowy Cheviots just before Christmas)
